All of our Hardwood Decking timbers are naturally durable and hard wearing. There is no need to apply any form of treatment as the product will weather to a beautiful silver/grey colour. However Decking Oil is available to help maintain the natural colour as much as possible, if required. Softwood decking is usually tanalised for extra longevity. However the regulations have resulted in the use of much less effective treatment processes, furthermore the treatment only penetrates the timber by a few millimetres and is therefore vulnerable whenever screws have been inserted and as wear and tear causes the deck to split and splinter.
