3mm Plywood

This plywood is a functional grade material composed of birch from parts of Russia. The Baltic birch is graded as a B-BB, which means that one face, B, will be a whole face, no splices, have no patches (plugs that are used to cover defects) but may contain knot pattern or mineral streaks. The other face, BB, and the inner plies will contain patches and tight and not so tight knots. Baltic Birch Plywood is an excellent material for cabinet backs, drawer sides and bottoms, as well as jigs and fixtures and scroll saw work that will be painted.

Our wood windows are beautiful on the inside and Milgard tough on the outside. They feature a wood interior in pine or optional Douglas fir or primed wood. A new internal secure connecting system results in a pristine interior wood surface with no unsightly nail holes or staples, perfect for staining, sealing or painting. The outside is durable fiberglass. Compare this to conventional wood windows with their exposed wood exteriors. Not only is ours better protected on the outside, but we also have an advanced water management system that protects our wood interior and harmlessly drains away water in the rare event water enters the sash system.

Mahogany Wood

Mahogany varies from yellowish, reddish, pinkish, or salmon colored when freshly cut, to a deep rich red, to reddish brown as the wood matures with age. Mahogany is fine to medium texture, with uniform to interlocking grain, ranging from straight to wavy or curly. Irregularities in the grain often produce highly attractive figures such as fiddleback or mottle. Mahogany polishes to a high luster, with excellent working and finishing characteristics. It responds well to hand and machine tools, has good nailing and screwing properties, and turns and carves superbly. Mahogany is regarded by many as the world's premier wood for fine cabinetry, high-class furniture, trimming fine boats, pianos and other musical instruments, sculpture, joinery, turnery, figured and decorative veneer, interior trim, and carving.

Blockboard

Blockboard is a wood based panel, made up of a core of softwood strips glued together. The strips may be up to about 28mm wide and are placed edge to edge and sandwiched between veneers of softwood, hardwood or thin MDF or particleboard, glued under high pressure. The internal strips are generally made of light weight poplar wood or spruce. Blockboard is used to make doors, tables, shelves, paneling and partition walls. It is normally used for interior usages, due to the type of glues used. To achieve maximum strength, it is important to ensure that the core runs lengthways. Blockboard (also called lumber core) has very good screw holding and can be considered as solid wood; it has a good resistance to warping.
